May Chapter Meeting – Heat Stress & Chapter Elections

The Quad Cities Chapter invites members and guests to our chapter meeting on May 22nd at 11:00AM at RILCO Safety Supply. This month’s presentation by Peggy Peterson, the Bureau Chief for Iowa OSHA Consultation will cover heat stress. We will also hold chapter elections. Peggy Peterson, Bureau Chief – Iowa OSHA Consultation

Peggy Peterson, the Bureau Chief for Iowa OSHA Consultation, Education, and COOP Programs, she has had a varied and impactful career with the state of Iowa since 1988. Starting in Work Comp then as a safety
enforcement officer, she advanced to roles including a safety and health consultant, senior industrial hygienist, and THE Complaint Officer. A Persian Gulf War veteran. Peggy joined the emergency response efforts at the
World Trade Center after 9/11 and in New Orleans during the aftermath of hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Peggy has educated countless employees and employers across the state. Her extensive experience and leadership skills
have also led her to represent Iowa at national conferences and in key roles such as a team leader in the Voluntary Protection Program (VPP). Peggy was introduced as a special guest at Iowa’s 2002 State of the State Address.
